Able to chair meetings and represent the Club in the absence of the President.  Work with President and assist over all administrative areas. Attend League meetings.

Secretary (Executive Committee)

Deal with Club mail, take minutes of meetings including AGM, attend League meetings as required.  Maintain Club Policies and By-Laws.  Liaise with League, distribute mail/correspondence as required within Club and externally, main contact point for Club. Oversee running of the Club along with President and Vice President.  Complete corporate reporting requirements to Consumer Affairs.

Treasurer (Executive Committee)

Maintain the Financial Accounts of the Club, including banking.  Present timely and accurate reports and budgets to the Committee.  Liaise with various Committee members regarding budget requirements and income and expenditure.

Registrar (Executive Committee)

Accept registrations and forward requirements onto League.  Keep an updated Club registration database including game records, assist with general correspondence with Club members.  Contact person for new members.

Incident Co-ordinator

Handle all incidents related to match day performance by coaches, players, spectators, volunteers and liaises with League and opposition team representatives to resolve all matters. May be required to attend Tribunal Hearings.

Child Safety Officer

Ensure SMJFL Child Safety Guidelines are adhered to and provide access to training from the SMJFL including online training modules.  Ensure adherence to existing policies.

Football Operations Manager

Co-ordinate all off field football activities for the Club’s teams to ensure that all players and off field staff are provided with the highest level of support to enable them to compete and perform at the highest level.

Provide support to the Executive and Committee members to ensure the efficient operation of the Club.

Coaching Co-ordinator

Supervisory and support role.  Support team coaches.  Meet with coaches to discuss developing players’ skills and related matters. Keep up to date with compliance requirements and liaise with coaches to ensure all training and accreditations are completed.Can be a Non-Committee Role, attendance at Committee meetings required on an ad hoc basis.

Girls’ Football Co-ordinator

Promote and actively recruit players for our girls’ football teams and liaise with the League and the AFL to ensure we maximize all opportunities to encourage and assist girls to enjoy competitive football.

Oversee the operations of all girls’ teams in our Club.

Team Manager / Volunteer Support

Assist Team Managers to ensure they have everything they need to assist coaches, parents and players to ensure the smooth operation of all match day requirements. Ensure Team Managers are aware of By-Law updates and League requirements when overseeing match day operations.

Bar Manager

Responsible for the sale of food and drinks from the bar.  Must hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol Accreditation (which the Club can assist to organise and will reimburse for).  Must assist with social functions held at Scammell Reserve when the bar is open, including Grub at the Club, and will be helped out behind the bar by our growing number of members who also hold Responsible Service of Alcohol Accreditation.  Stock ordering not required, as this function is undertaken by the Scammell Reserve Committee. Some liaising with the Scammell Reserve Committee required.

Canteen Manager

Manage ordering and selling of food and drink stock from the canteen. Required to be available and contactable at Scammell Reserve on game day, but not required to be in attendance all day.  Assistance from others available.  Responsible for sourcing and overseeing people work in the canteen at Princes Hwy on game day.

Sponsorship Co-ordinator

Maximise the number of sponsors supporting the Club in order to maximise revenue from the sponsorship base.  Manage the relationship between the Club and sponsors to ensure that all sponsors are serviced to a high level and are retained on a long term basis.

Property Officer

Manage ordering of uniforms and various Club apparel.  Assist with sales of merchandise at Club welcome night and Grub at the Club.  Assist with purchasing of training/football department equipment.

Social Co-ordinator

Arrange and co-ordinate a variety of social events for Club members together with volunteers.

Maintain and update Club website, assist with ad hoc IT matters and manage and monitor social media.

Scammell Ground Manager

Responsible for the smooth running of game day at Scammell.  Conduct initial ground/club room inspections at home matches.  Report on any maintenance deficiencies (and assist to address where possible) and liaise with the ground-markers (position already filled) to ensure line markings are clear.  Ensure the scoreboard is operational.  Ensure goal post pads are up before the start of play.  Monitor team clean-up at the close of play, noting that the club room clean up is the responsibility of each team playing on the day, NOT the Ground Manager. While this can be a non-Committee Role, your attendance at Committee meetings may be required on an ad hoc basis. There will need to be a consideration for COVID safe hygiene protocols at Scammell on match day.   Presence is not required at Scammell all day.

Princes Hwy Grounds Officer

Conduct risk assessment of playing fields at home matches.  Manage any maintenance deficiencies. Organises the marking of ground lines. Ensure scoreboard and timekeeper equipment is available. Ensure goal post pads are up.

FIRST AID Co-ordinator

Supervisory and support role.  Support team Trainers.  Order and manage medical supplies.  Ensure Club is providing appropriate first aid care and training to its Trainers and members.

Council Liaison

Liaises with Monash Council regarding the grounds and Club facilities, including ground conditions, Club room maintenance and licensing requirements.
