rEGISTRATIONS FOR 2025 ARE NOW OPEN!

 

Please read below for important information before you register.

All player registrations must be completed on-line. 

Please ensure you register with your previous details if you have played before, to ensure all your game records reconcile. If you can’t remember the email used to register in 2024 or need to change your email, send an email to clubhelp@afl.com.au who can update this before a registration is commenced.

Please note ALL game day volunteers (Coach, Trainer, Goal Umpire etc) also need to register with PlayHQ and upload their Working with Children Check (WWCC) details.  Once you have completed your child’s registration, please add another registration under your name as a ‘Volunteer’.  You will need your WWCC number and expiry.  There is no fee for Volunteer registration.

Please note the Oakleigh Dragons are registered to accept Active Kids $200 Vouchers.  Further information can be found here: https://www.getactive.vic.gov.au/vouchers/.  Voucher codes need to be included when registering.  Applications for vouchers close 10 May.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT – Registration on or before 15 February, 2025

  • $265.00 (First child)
  • $236.00 (Second and subsequent children from same family)

When registering, please select the Early Bird Junior Membership Registration option.

STANDARD REGISTRATION FEES – Registration after 15 February, 2025

Players that have not paid prior to Round 1 will not be eligible to play without contact having been made with the Registrar prior.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK

Junior football operates solely through the efforts of volunteers from every team.  When registering your child, you are confirming your commitment to volunteer with your team’s game day roles.  All member families are required to assist with game day roles, and all game day roles require a valid Working With Children Check qualification as per SMJFL policy in light of Child Safe Standards and in accordance with the OYCFC By-Laws.  We require at least one parent/guardian to hold a valid WWCC prior to the commencement of the season. Applications can be made on-line via: http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au

Please note there are no WWCC exemptions for Police or VIT in line with SMJFL policies.

Player Transfers

Any player wishing to transfer to the Oakleigh Dragons from another club must complete the ‘SMJFL Player Club Transfer Form’ and contact Kane Leopold before registering, ph: 0400 039 412, registrations@oakleighdragons.com.au.  Transfers are now open.

New Players

New Players are those who have not played football before, including Auskick.

Registration for new players will not be finalised until the club receives proof of age for the player. This may be in the form of a copy of Birth Certificate, Passport, or Secondary School issued Student ID.  

As per SMJFL By-Laws a player must be a minimum of 7 years of age as at 30th April in the calendar year of their first season to be eligible to be registered with the SMJFL.
